It’s All In The Hands: Massage Your Way To Longer Hair!

‘Updo Queen’ and Toyokalon Brand Ambassador Jane Nashe is back! This time, Jane details her scalp massage ritual. Scalp massages are an important part of any hair regime. Not only can they help to alleviate stress, they also encourage healthy hair growth, helping you to reach your longer hair goals, faster!

I massage my scalp for at least 5 to 10 minutes. I usually start massaging after my wash routine, then between wash days, I go in with the oils and massage. Then I repeat the process.

I usually do the scalp massage right before my evening shower so I can have a nice relaxed night. Afterward, I cover my hair with a satin or silk scarf or bonnet then go to bed. I feel this is the perfect time for me to massage after a long day at work.

I wash my hair once a week and I also co wash once a week. I love massaging my edges and my scalp because this increases blood circulation to the scalp and follicles. This allows nutrients to be absorbed by the follicles and the roots. This stimulates stronger and healthier hair growth!
